BLACK ONYX HEAT CURE REPAIR COMPOUND

Black Onyx heat cure compound is a repair compound that combines elements from several of our repair compounds to create the ideal all-purpose repair compound.

Black Onyx is defined by the following combination of properties

1. 1. Black Onyx is easy to texture and takes the patterns of grain mats well.
   2. Black Onyx has good heat tolerance, meaning it can be cooked for long periods of time without burning or scorching the surface. Heat settings on the heat gun can range from a low of 400 degrees F up to 650 degrees F.
   3. Black Onyx can be sanded without beading or pilling. This makes the compound more forgiving and your application does not need to be perfect the first time and can be re-shaped after curing. 
   4. Black Onyx’s dark graphite color makes it easy to blend into black vinyl and interiors.
   5. Black Onyx is thick, making it easy to spread and control, similar to our 680 Thick Compound.
