Description
HEAT CURE REPAIR COMPOUND – AKA “VINYL REPAIR COMPOUND”
DEEP FILL
The 665 Deep Fill is a Heat Cure Repair Compound for Vinyl Repair. We recommend using this for thick molded vinyl and areas where deep filling is needed. Deep Fill works great on dashboards and armrests. Baking the repair compound completely through will ensure proper performance. This Compound’s specialty is its unique bulk filling properties. Other vinyl repair compounds, like our 680, and 668 work especially well over top of Deep Fill.
SOFT FLEX
This slightly blue Vinyl Repair Compound is the softest and most flexible repair compound we sell. 668 Soft Flex grains very well, can handle high heat, and has excellent strength and elasticity. Soft Flex Vinyl Repair Compound provides an excellent, soft leather-like feel. For that reason it works great for upholstery repairs on soft leathers and vinyl. Baking the compound completely and thoroughly ensures the proper and best performance. Soft-Flex can be used over top of other vinyl repair compounds as desired.
STANDARD
This Vinyl repair compound is the thinnest compound we offer. It is especially important to bake the compound all the way through to get the best performance. Our Standard Heat Cure compound works well for automotive and commercial type seating vinyl repairs. Standard Vinyl Repair Compound also works well over or under any of our other heat cure repair products.
THICK
This is our all-purpose, heat cure compound, high viscosity, high Strength repair compound. Baking the compound completely ensures the proper and best performance.
SANDABLE HCC
Our Sandable Vinyl Repair Compound is great for areas where you’d like to do light sanding. Bake the compound completely through to ensure the best performance.
RED BASE FILL
Pack and Mold Red Base Fill into damaged areas in a single application, especially in molded and shaped areas. This compound has a longer cure time than our other compounds and must be baked for longer as well to ensure the best performance.
APPLICATION
To apply the Vinyl Repair Compounds, we recommend using our spatulas to apply and spread the compound over the damaged area. Afterwards, use either our Thick Grain Mats or Thin Grain Mats to get the proper texture to match the surface you are working on. Finally, bake the compound all the way through. This is especially important to make sure the compounds performs at its peak.
